464 cm x 63 cm
This mandala is made up of 228 widths of pongee silk painted in acrylic.
The lengths of cloth decrease with the shortest found at the centre, so that this mandala is convex, like an umbrella.
This piece was commisioned by the Buddhist Community of Sakyong Mipham Rimpoche, heir of Chögyam Trungpa Rimpoche, for his visit to Paris in June of 2002.
I placed it over a fan so that the pennants gently undulated.
